Graphics Platform Engineering Team has immediate opening for a MTS (Member of Technical Staff) Thermal & Mechanical Design Engineer. Key responsibilities and requirements are listed below
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for thermal and mechanical engineering in support and development of AMD dGPU products Entail experimental thermal/fluid mechanical work directed at the development of thermal solutions, mechanical design of components and systems, and numerical analysis of thermal/fluid or mechanical aspects Perform hands-on engineering with the board engineering team and suppliers/partners in the thermal management field. Interface with AMD NA engineering and development organizations Provide technical guidance to junior engineers Forward thinker to improve development process and drive innovation
REQUIREMENTS
B.Sc. or M.Sc. In Thermal/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
Very strong English skills required – verbal and written
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
A minimum of 6+ years’ experience at computer or Semiconductor Company in thermal and mechanical engineering Good lab skills, experience with data acquisition using Labview, and data analysis applied to thermal design Experience in cross functional leadership roles or technical management/project leadership is required Experience with SolidWorks or Pro/E is required Experience with Icepak or Flotherm is required Good knowledge of DFM (Design for manufacture) Have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork
