What this job could provide to you?
This Thermal Design Engineer position provides opportunities to work with professional R&D experts at Siemens Industrial Automation Products Ltd., Chengdu for projects/solutions implementation on IPC/PLC/HMI products either from Headquarter or local.
What are my responsibilities?
1.Responsible for thermal and mechanical design of IPC/PLC/HMI product, covers simulation, design, testing, supplier controlling, manufacturing introduction and maintenance.
2.Result documentation and transfer of work package.
3.Responsibility covers schedule, functionality, product costs, and quality of the work package assigned to him/her.
4.New thermal dissipation methods research and development, keep tracking the cutting-edge cooling technologies and market trend.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
1.Bachelor or master’s degree in Thermodynamic Engineering or related field; solid theoretical knowledge in heat transfer science, fluid mechanics, numerical analysis.
2.3 years+ thermal design experience for electronic products.
3.Experience of both natural convection and forced convection thermal design.
4.Deep knowledge of numerical simulation of heat and fluid flow, expertise in thermal simulation software, such as Icepak, Flotherm.
5.Deep understanding of thermal design and test process.
6.Strong demonstrated capabilities in thermal related trouble shooting and providing high quality thermal solutions.
7.Basic knowledge and experience of mechanical design is preferred.
8.Good oral and written English.
